Summary
I had the opportunity to assist the European Press Prize with their presentation for the yearly Awards. The Awards were held digitally, and an animation was needed to visualize the process.

"The animation for the European Press Prize exceeded my expectations. The process went smoothly; Dylan not only executed the task but also actively contributed ideas and took initiative. At the same time, he was very good at incorporating our feedback and creatively translating our input. Additionally, the communication was quick, clear, and pleasant. I'm absolutely thrilled with the result!"
Style elements
EPP has been around for a while and they had a clear vision of how they want to digitally represent themselves. I was given the following elements to work with and see what I could come up with.
Characters
The story needed 10 characers to represent the judge committee. I created two ‘models’ (male & female) which I used to build different judges.
The idea was to minimally animate the characters so that at least they would come to life. The basic models have been rigged once and I changed facials, hair, expressions and accessories to be as efficient as possible but still create enough difference between the characters looks.
Styleframes
Even though EPP had a very clear graphic style, there were no illustrations made before. We decided to merge the storyboard and the styleframes together to win time and put that saved time into the animation phase.
